No rest for the wicked

I woke up this morning with a migraine and proceeded to throw up. Poor Ava was so sweet. She was very concerned about me hugging the toilet and making the barfy noises I was. :( So I managed to blurt out, "Mommy's very sick." She kept saying, "very sick." Then I told her that "Mommy had to throw up." And she kept saying, "Ava throw up too." She's such an empathic little girl.

I did start feeling better later in the day, only to come down with the cold Ava's had the last few days. Ugh.

Why don't mommies get "sick days?" :(

I certainly feel for you. I hope you continue to feel better. The last time I was ill Moose thought I was playing peek-a-boo by hiding my face in a bucket. Then he got a bath at 3:00am because what else would keep him busy in there? Being a SAHM is great, but the sick days and personal days are non-existent! Get well soon!

That is the MILLION dollar question! I was asking myself that last week! Every day I ever take off, is NEVER for ME!!!!! Sorry...a little rant there! Hope you are doing better.

Migranes are the WORST! Was Jody able to help you care for Ava? Cause I know all you need to do is just lay in bed in the dark and quiet for a few hours. How awful!

Elizabeth gets a gold star for her brilliant idea. The last time I was sick, I was lying half in and half out of our powder room while the kids played in the family room. But they could certainly play in the tub!

I hope you feel better soon. Being a sick mommy is the pits!
